Ringingphone is a basic ringtone service without any whistles or bells. There is a long list of categories on the left side of the page. When you choose a category, a list of songs will appear in the center of the page. This site lacks a "most popular" category, which is a convenient place to find the latest hits.
You can search tones by artist. This handy search option will list all of the songs by a particular singer or band.
The tones on Ringingphone come in poly or MP3 format. The MP3 formats are renditions of the songs by professional vocalists-they never sound quite like the real song.
Ringingphone has two different plans. You can purchase the songs individually for $1.99 or pay a monthly $6.99 fee for 10 ringtones. If you choose to buy the songs individually, be careful when you go to checkout because Ringingphone will try to slip their monthly membership into your cart.
Ringingphone doesn't offer much support with a very small FAQ section that consists of a handful of questions and a slow response time to email inquisitions.
This service supports AT&T, Cellular One, Cingular, Dobson, Sprint PCS, T-Mobile, Verizon, Virgin Mobile, Bell, Telus, Fido, Rogers Wireless, O2, Vodafone, Three and Orange.
